This 11-day tour gives primate lovers a chance of a lifetime to track down some of the rarest apes in Africa. Tour Plan

1
Day 1. Arrival in Uganda
On arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be met by your guide who will then transfer you to a hotel in Kampala for a night. This driver will be your guide throughout the trip. Luxury accommodation: Sheraton Kampala or similar on bed and breakfast (BB) Mid-range accommodation: Eureka Palace Hotel or similar on bed and breakfast (BB)

Day 2. Drive to Murchison Falls National Park-Rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After an early breakfast, start your journey to Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area hosting 76 species of Mammals and 451 birds.  You will go through Masindi with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Southern White Rhino tracking. Conveniently located about 176 kms north of Kampala and seated on about 7000 hectares of land, Ziwa Rhino sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you are able to see Rhinos in the wild. After tracking enjoy a scenic drive to the park. Day 3. Game drive. Boat cruise and Hike to the top of the Falls
Take a magical morning game drive to spot wildlife including elephants, giraffes, buffalos, lions, antelopes among others. Return to the lodge for lunch and later take on a boat cruise on the mighty Nile River along which you will see more animals and birds including Savannah Forest birds and water birds. Leave the boat and hike to the top of the falls. At this point you are able to have spectacular views of the falls as the world’s longest river violently roars through a six-meter chasm and across the park. Day 4. Drive to Kibale National Park
After an early morning breakfast depart for Kibale National park driving through Fort portal city arriving late in the afternoon. Free evening at leisure at your lodge relaxing as you prepare for the next event the following day. Day 5. Chimpanzee tracking. Bigodi Swamp tour
After breakfast your guide will lead you to the park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts during your trekking.  The high number of chimpanzees, the accessibility of the forest and the length of habituation makes Kibale the most popular place to track chimpanzees in Uganda with about 90% chances of seeing it. The forest also boasts of other primate species including the black and white colobus monkey, blue monkey, Grey cheeked mangabey and red-tailed monkey.  Return to the lodge for lunch and later take a guided nature walk at Bigodi wetland sanctuary. A nature walk in this part of Magombe swamp gives an opportunity to see more primates and birds including the great blue turaco. Day 6. Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park-Evening boat cruise on Kanzinga Channel.
Depart for Queen Elizabeth after breakfast through Kasese with beautiful viewing of the Rwenzori Mountain. Check in at your lodge and wait for lunch. After lunch take a 2-hour boat cruise on the majestic Kanzinga channel known for its high concentration of hippos. Enormous buffalos and elephants are seen linger on the shoreline. An average of 60 bird species can be spotted during this trip. Day 7. Morning Game drive and Nature walk-Queen Elizabeth National Park
This morning, take another game drive. As you bump along the wilderness in semi darkness, you see the sun creeping up, a bout to light up the amazing land. Oh, that glorious moment that awakens your senses. You see things clearly. The Lions, the hidden elephants, the buffalos, the birds, the flowers all ready to be captured in your soul. For photo taking loving people, this is the best time. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the evening, explore of the park’s landscape and wildlife on a nature walk. Mweya Peninsula offers beautiful savannah and woodland views and bold warthogs. Luxury accommodation: Mweya Safari lodge or Similar on full board (B, L, D). Day 8. Queen Elizabeth-Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
This morning after an early breakfast takes a 2-hour safari drive to Ishasha sector for the game drive in search of the famous tree climbing lions. The sector has got a rich biodiversity and is home to a verity of wildlife such as buffalos, different species of antelopes and birds. Later in the day continue with your journey to Bwindi with lunch En-route. Day 9. Gorilla tracking. Batwa trail experience.
After breakfast with your packed lunch, your guide will drive you to the park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts during your trekking.  Your gorilla family tracking will start immediately after the briefing. The time taken to find these great primates ranges between 2 hours to 8 hours depending on where the family last spent its night. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long savored. Many find it to be a rare and moving opportunity. Return to your accommodation for a nap and later in the afternoon if time allows visit the Batwa community. The community tour enriches you with the past ways of life of the Batwa people and the Bakiga. Luxury accommodation: Silverback Lodge or similar on full boar (B, L, D). Day 10: Drive to Kampala
After breakfast at leisure, check out of the lodge and start your journey back to Kampala through Ntungamo-Mbarara-Masaka arriving your hotel late afternoon. Day 11: Hal Day Kampala City Tour
After break-fast your driver will lead you on a Kampala city tour. This will include a visit to the various monuments in the city like the Independence monument, Sir Edward Mutesa 1 Monument, World war memorial monument and the statue of leadership among others, Namugongo Martyrs Shrine and Lubiri/Kabaka’s palace are also part of the city tour. Return from the city tour in time and be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight
